July 4, 2009 - Still trying to decide on a blog platform. WordPress? Blogger? other? Thinking WordPress as it is included in my site hosting package. Just need the time to integrate it.

The next question to answer is "what will be the focus of this blog?"

For now, I'm thinking it will be kinda eclectic. I would like to help others find employment with tips, links to sites, etc. While attending networking events, job search workshops, and meet-ups, I've been amazed to find out how little people know about the online resources out there. Of course, having worked at one of the (now defunct) job search sites for nearly 3 years helps.

I will also certainly have a focus on web dev & design - as that's what I do. I'd also like to write about workplace issues such as generational gaps, processes, best practices, cool new stuff, etc.

And, as a disclaimer, this blog will contain my own personal thoughts, opinions, and ideas. They do not reflect those of any employer of mine.

Am now realizing this is my first post on this blog. Huzzah! (Now to just get the blog system up and running to make life easier!)
